Future Projects
On two separate occasions, Texas A&M Dance Program students have had the opportunity to work with international photographer, Igor Kraguljac. Both projects The Train Project and Underwater has presented nationally and internationally. The Train Project was a multi-media work incorporating video, photography, props and dance based on the concept of using trains as a way to transport. To gather the photography and video dancers travelled to NYC and Chicago (via train) and improvised on trains, subways, subway platforms and at train stations. This work was presented internationally at the International New York Fridge Festival in NYC. Underwater was a photo exhibition incorporating dancers, fabric, water and photography. This work has been internationally recognized in the Smithsonian, Photographer’s Forum, Photoicon, and Everything is Art. Students will begin working with Igor again on a new project, Earth. This project will incorporate sand, water, wind and fire. For more on Igor Kraguljac visit his website at www.igorkraguljac.com .
